New Land Rover Range Rover Sport

The latest Range Rover Sport shares the same MLA-Flex platform as the new Land Rover Range Rover and will carry a £79,125 price tag when it enters markets later this year.

This new platform means that the Sport will be in line for its first-ever fully electric model when it arrives later in 2024. PHEV power will be available from launch though if you don't want to wait around that long.

There’ll be two plug-in hybrid options, three mild hybrids and a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 to choose from at first. The best performing PHEV will produce 503bhp and will cover 0-62mph in just 5.4 seconds. A 38.2kWh battery also enables the PHEVs to travel 70 miles on a single charge. The 525bhp petrol V8 will be able to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds.

All of the new Range Rover Sports will come with all-wheel-drive as standard and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Jaguar Land Rover continues to push its minimalist and innovative styling on this latest SUV. A three-lined design means that a sweeping roofline, angled waistline and curved lower line glide across the vehicle to converge at the rear.

Seamless windows and door handles fit cleanly into the design too, with slim LED headlights that wrap alongside the curved bonnet.

On the inside, luxury is at the forefront of the design and the clean minimalist lines of the exterior continue within the cabin. Drivers will be met by a 13.1-inch infotainment screen and a 13.7-inch digital display behind the steering wheel.

A wheelbase that's 75mm longer than previous models provides a little more legroom in the back and a 29-speaker Meridian Soundsystem comes with noise-cancelling technology fitted into the headrests to keep road noises out.
