DS is one of the newest car manufacturers in the world. The name DS goes back to 1955 when a car by the same name was launched by Citroën. This 4-wheel-drive executive vehicle was innovative at the time with its futuristic design and automatic levelling system.
In 2009, DS became a sub-brand of Citroen, before it separated in 2014. The name means 'Different Spirit’.
In 2010, its first car was released: the DS3. This small and highly customisable car was an immediate hit. Since then, DS has produced a range of premium cars while developing its own identity.
