New Volkswagen ID.4 GTX

The new ID.4 GTX is the first of what will surely be many new sporty EVs to come from VW. The GTX is a car that shows that sportiness can be sustainable too.

This energetic twist on the popular ID.4 comes with the addition of a second e-motor that provides the driver with all-wheel-drive when required.

There’s also a 2-second improvement on the 0-62mph acceleration. The GTX can manage it in just 6.2 seconds, whereas the standard ID.4 hits it at 8.5 seconds.

However, the same sized battery means the range on the car does drop a little to around an estimated 300 miles.

Other additions to this model also include a changed suspension that Volkswagen haven’t given exact details on at this moment in time. A ‘Sports Package’ derivative will also be available that’ll drop the ride height by 15mm.

On the exterior, the GTX comes with a few differences. GTX badges, a black roof, rear spoiler and high gloss black air intake grilles complete a stylish look. A new LED light signature is present at the front and the rear shows off a new X-shaped brake light.

The new ID.4 GTX will go on sale in Germany this summer, before being released in the UK later this year.
