New Mercedes-Benz T-Class

The new T-Class is the Volkswagen Caddy rival with Mercedes A-Class styling and technology. The Citan Tourer replacement aims to add a level of luxury that is currently lacking within the sector.

Set to arrive in the UK later this year, the van-based MPV will initially be available with a standard wheelbase and 5-seat layout in petrol and diesel guises. Larger 7-seat layouts are expected to follow in 2023.

Standard hinged doors appear at the front followed by sliding doors that reveal a 3-seat layout in the back.

Mercedes have included many accessories and features to help the T-Class stand out from the Citan. The Style trim brings with it 16-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows and gloss black dashboard plastics. The Progressive trim sees added LED headlights as well as electric rear windows.

Safety kit across the line-up is comprehensive. 7 airbags, tyre-pressure monitoring, hill-start assistance, blind-spot monitoring, speed-limit assistance and lane-keeping assistance all feature.

On top of this, drivers will get to enjoy travelling in a vehicle with Mercedes’ prestigious 3-point star and recognisable grille.

In the cabin, a 7-inch infotainment system comes with the A-Class MBUX functionality plus “Hey Mercedes” speech control. In the back, there's also up to 517 litres of luggage space.
